Poem in B by Jeffrey Ding He

Poem in B
by Jeffrey He

What would I be
if I wasn’t a He?
Would I be me?
The same old Jeffrey?

Would I agree?
With the old form of me?
What would I see?
The same things as He?

Perhaps I would flee,
To find family.
Or perhaps I’d stay me.
Still Jeffrey He.

Ultimately,
I can’t foresee.

Today I’m a He,
Not he, or she.
Today I’m just me.
